Potato (yes, that’s its name), a startup building “Autonomous agents for science,” recently announced a $4.5M funding round. This is big sign of traction for an emerging category of software that is so new, it doesn’t even have a name yet. So I thought I’d take this as an opportunity to explore what this category is and how Potato compares to some of the other entrants.
I really like the delineation between the three classes of problems. It's a clarifying framework.
